Temperature sensor for Votronic controllers
The charging voltage should be adjusted based on the battery temperature. This setting is called temperature compensation, a charging feature that helps ensure the battery is neither undercharged nor overcharged, regardless of the battery’s temperature.
All chemical reactions are affected by temperature. Battery charging is an electrochemical reaction, so it is also affected by temperature. Specifically, cold batteries require a higher charge voltage to push current across the battery plates and electrolyte, and warmer batteries require a lower charge voltage to eliminate potential damage to the dry cell regulator valves ( VRLA) and to reduce unnecessary evaporation and boiling in liquid batteries.
Suitable for all Votronic devices. M8 bolt hole.
825 temperature sensor with included 3m cable, sealed to protect against external influences and contamination.
