Lithium Ion Battery TBB POWER 5.4kWh / 48V – ES100 II
Lithium-ion battery TBB POWER 5.4kWh / 48V – ES100 II is a reliable solution for energy storage in solar and hybrid systems. With a nominal voltage of 48 volts and a capacity of 105 ampere-hours, it offers real usable energy of 5.04 kWh. The LiFePO4 technology used ensures an extremely long service life – up to 6000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge. This makes the battery extremely suitable for daily use in residential or business systems, significantly reducing replacement costs in the long term. The model has a protective housing with passive cooling and an intelligent BMS system that monitors voltage, current and temperature in real time. The battery has compact dimensions and weighs about 40 kilograms, which facilitates installation and transportation. Compatibility with RS485 and CAN communication allows integration with most inverters on the market.
Thanks to its modular design, the battery can be connected in parallel with up to 32 units. This provides the ability to expand capacity according to the needs of the system without changing the configuration. Each additional module is automatically addressed, which eliminates the need for manual setup and saves time during installation. The unique “pull-ear” design provides easy access during installation or maintenance, and the universal terminals and parallel busbar block with a load capacity of up to 300 amps facilitate electrical connectivity. So even with larger configurations, the batteries remain easy to service and fully compatible with a variety of controllers and chargers.
TBB POWER ES100 II Battery Features and Safety
The TBB POWER ES100 II battery uses lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4), known for its stability and safety under prolonged load. This distinguishes it from other lithium solutions that can overheat or self-ignite if used incorrectly. The built-in intelligent BMS (Battery Management System) controls each individual cell module, providing protection against overcharging, deep discharge, short circuit and overheating. Additionally, the system monitors the battery’s operating parameters in real time and automatically turns off the power in case of deviations from normal values. This guarantees long life and safe operation even in harsh climatic conditions. The system is designed to operate at temperatures from -20°C to +55°C during discharge and from 0°C to +55°C during charging. All this makes it an excellent choice for both indoor and outdoor installations, where stability and safety are a priority. The battery design is protected with an IP20 degree, making it suitable for installation in rooms protected from direct moisture.
Connection and installation TBB POWER ES100 II
One of the great advantages of the ES100 II model is the ability to scale by connecting up to 32 modules in parallel. This allows easy adaptation to different capacity needs – from small home systems to large industrial solutions. Installation is made as easy as possible thanks to automatic addressing between modules, which eliminates the need for manual configuration of each component. The batteries are mounted in a standard 19-inch cabinet or on shelves, which saves space and allows for a tidy installation. The included terminals and busbar block allow flexible and robust connection between modules. The “pull-ear” design makes installation and maintenance easier, even when the batteries are already installed in a cabinet. This model is particularly suitable for installers looking for a product with quick installation and minimal risk of errors. All this results in less installation time and lower labor costs, without compromising on security or performance.
Compatibility and monitoring
The ES100 II module features RS485 and CAN communication ports, which allow easy integration with almost all leading brands of hybrid and grid-connected inverters. This ensures compatibility with inverters from Victron, Growatt, Solis, GoodWe, SMA and other manufacturers. In addition, the battery supports connectivity with the NOVA platform via a Kinergy logger, which allows for real-time monitoring and analysis. Users can monitor voltage, current, capacity and state of charge directly from a remote location via a computer or mobile device. This allows for both better system management and early detection of problems that can lead to interruptions in operation. The ability to update the software via a cloud connection ensures that the battery stays up to date with the latest features and improvements. The monitoring system also gives additional peace of mind to owners who want to have full control over their energy storage.
